1/12 Motorcycle Series No.37

1/12 SCALE YAMAHA RZV500R

Length: 172 mm. Image shows painted and assembled kit.

Tokyo Motor Show 1983 saw the stunning debut of the Yamaha RZV500R, a bike which sported a 500 cc 2-stroke water-cooled V4 engine and was based mechanically upon the YZR500 road racer. While its slimline form was more reminiscent of a 250 cc bike, the lightweight RZV500R wrung 230 km/h out of its 64 hp engine, and rightfully also received plenty of attention for its stylish pipe frame, link type Monocross suspension, and technological advances such as its anti-dive front fork.
